WASHINGTON, 19 June 2006. Parvus has introduced its DuraVIS 3000 military/avionics flat panel display at the Armed Forces Communication Electronics Association's (AFCEA) 2006 TechNet International Conference in Washington D.C.

The DuraVIS 3000 is a rugged flat panel 6.5-inch TFT Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) offering daylight readability and a hardened Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) mechanical design well suited for avionics, military, vehicular, and other high-reliability applications.

Featuring an anti-glare protective Lexan cover for impact protection and explosive decompression, this VGA compatible monitor integrates a high luminance (850 Nit) LED backlight for long lamp life (50,000 hours), excellent dimming capabilities (down to 4 percent), and exceptional low-temperature operation (-20 degrees C).

The DuraVIS 3000 display was designed to meet MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461 environmental standards. This lightweight (2 pound) unit features two front bezel buttons for brightness controls and accepts standard VGA or fully differential signals for flexibility with long line applications (up to 500 feet).
