Army orders night-vision goggles and scopes from Night Optics USA under terms of $8.2 million contract

FORT MONMOUTH, N.J., 8 Aug. 2010. U.S. Army officials are awarding a $8.2 million contract for night-vision equipment to Night Optics USA Inc. in Huntington Beach, Calif. The contract involves a variety of night-vision goggles, night-vision scopes, and training.

Officials of the Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth, N.J., awarded the contract Friday to Night Optics USA for 110 night optics/binocular night vision device-15 (NO/BNVD-15) night vision goggles; 136 night optics/passive vision-14 (NO/PV-14) advanced multi-purpose scopes; 100 of NO/PVS-14-3w/5x; three NO/BNVD-15 purge adaptors; 145 passive vision sight-14 (PVS-14) maintenance spares kits; operator spares; and training for the NO/BNVD-15.

Work will be in Huntington Beach, Calif., and will be finished in late 2019. Awarding the contract is the CECOM Contracting Center at Fort Monmouth, N.J.
