ROCKVILLE, Md., 9 Jan. 2010. Savantage Solutions won a task order by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), to provide Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, and Solutions (CHESS) program services.
This multi-million dollar task order spans a period of up to five years. The PEO-EIS awarded the contract under the Program Management Support Services - 2 (PMSS2) contract vehicle, for which Savantage is a small business prime.
The Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, and Solutions (CHESS) program supports all Army customers' IT requirements in a quick and economic way and is the Army's primary source for Information Technology -- including hardware, software, and support services, says a company representative.
Aligned under the Army's Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), CHESS works with other Army Knowledge Management (AKM) partners, including the Army CIO-G6, NETCOM/9th Signal Command (A), and the Information Technology, Electronic Commerce, and Commercial Contracting Center (ITEC4) to provide architecturally sound, standards and policy-compliant IT enterprise solutions to all Army posts, camps, and stations around the world.
Savantage will provide a broad spectrum of services, in the areas of Technical Support Services, Data Management and Reporting, Program Support Services, Army Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) Administration, and Educational Support Services.
Work is scheduled to start immediately.
