The rugged tablet PC weighs 3 pounds and is packaged in a rugged magnesium alloy case. The tablet computer meets MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards for durability and protection against dirt, dust, water, motion, vibration, temperature extremes, and other harsh environments.
The rugged computer tablet comes with standard solid state drive to protect files and documents from shock and vibration, accidental drops, and other physical abuse. The rugged tablet also has advanced LED backlight and anti-reflective technologies in its 800 NITs sunlight readable display with touchscreen readability of screen contents, even in direct sunlight.
An embedded backup battery enables hot-swapping with spare batteries such that can safely replace battery packs without shutting down the system or losing information. The E100 has a 1.6 GHz processor that offers as much as five hours of battery life.
The rugged tablet PC also includes an RS-232 Serial port, two USB ports, an option for dual smart card readers for special applications and requirements, embedded microphone, 812.11a/g/n wireless LAN, Giga LAN and Bluetooth 2.0 as standard has with optional 3G Network connectivity for those who need wireless in the field.
