CSC to supply computer, navigation and other engineering support for U.S. Army AMRDEC

FALLS CHURCH, Va., 17 July 2010. CSC (NYSE: CSC) won a task order from U.S. Army to provide technical and engineering support for its Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC).

CSC (NYSE: CSC) won a task order from U.S. Army to provide technical and engineering support for its Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC). Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide technical and engineering services in the areas of integration, computer, control, and navigation technologies; and electronics and system design.AMRDEC, which is headquartered in Huntsville, Ala., is a subordinate laboratory to the Research, Development, and Engineering Command. It provides research, development, and engineering technology and services for Army aviation and missile platforms.The five-year task order, which was awarded during CSC's fiscal 2011 first quarter, has an estimated total value of $224 million. The task order was awarded under the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command's Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services blanket purchase agreement, which CSC won in 2005.
