Calibre acquires Unity Inc., service provider to the U.S. Department of Defense

ALEXANDRIA, Va., 2 March 2007. Calibre, an employee-owned management and technology services company, has closed its transaction to purchase all of the outstanding shares of Unity Inc., a Delaware Corporation, headquartered in Burke, Va. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ALEXANDRIA, Va., 2 March 2007. Calibre, an employee-owned management and technology services company, has closed its transaction to purchase all of the outstanding shares of Unity Inc., a Delaware Corporation, headquartered in Burke, Va. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Unity Inc., a small business engineering and management consulting firm, provides engineering, public infrastructure and facilities reviews, and business process improvement to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

The company's service offerings include specialized expertise in performance-based contracting, resource allocation and budget execution, productivity enhancement, and process improvement in the fields of physical asset planning, construction, operation, and maintenance.

Current Unity customers include the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and the National Park Service (NPS).
