Quantum3D to help Navy upgrade landing signal officer trainer

TAMPA, Fla., 1 March 2007. Simulator designers at Aero Simulation Inc. in Tampa, Fla., are choosing Quantum3D Inc. in San Jose, Calif., to provide the IDX 3000 image generator for the U.S. Navy's upgrade to the Landing Signal Officer Trainer (LSOT).

TAMPA, Fla., 1 March 2007.Simulator designers at Aero Simulation Inc. in Tampa, Fla., are choosing Quantum3D Inc. in San Jose, Calif., to provide the IDX 3000 image generator for the U.S. Navy's upgrade to the Landing Signal Officer Trainer (LSOT).

The LSOT from Aero Simulation helps train landing signals officers on the best ways of guiding high-performance Navy jets to make safe landings aboard aircraft carriers. The LSOT has the capability to train personnel to handle a wide variety of emergency conditions and replicate malfunctions to accommodate the level and complexity required to prepare the landing signal officer for duty.
