Hiawatha, Iowa, 27 Jan. 2007.Crystal Group Inc., a veteran-owned small business and manufacturer of rugged, commercial-off-the- shelf (COTS) and custom-developed computers, exhibited its latest server and other technologies durng the Defending America/SPACECOMM 2007 Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colo.

At Spacecomm 2007, Crystal Group demonstrated several rugged computing options, including the newest addition to the Crystal Group server family and RS line, the RS232-SF.

The RS232-SF server is designed for performance, ruggedness, and reliability. With a super-short depth of 12.5 inches and front I/O, the RS232-SF is an ideal computer for shipboard, airborne, and land- based applications -- anywhere shallow depth and rugged construction are necessary.

If you require performance in a variety of environments, the RS232- SF offers extended capability with shock/vibe rating of 6 GRMS in combined wheeled vehicle and aircraft profiles, a temperature range of –20 degrees C up to 60 degrees C (-4 to140 degrees F) and multiple power options. The RS232-SF is designed and being tested to meet MIL- STDs 810F, 167-1, 461E, and 901D requirements.

The RS232-SF is available with the following processor options: Intel Core 2 Duo, Dual Core Intel Xeon, and AMD Opteron.
