    iRobot awarded $16.58 million for deployment of explosive-detection robots

    BURLINGTON, Mass., 31 Jan. 2007. iRobot Corp. was awarded a $16.58 million order for delivery of more than 100 explosive-detection robots for use by the U.S. military in Iraq. The contract was granted by the procurement office of the Naval Air Systems Command on behalf of the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office (RSJPO) at Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
