Orbit International Corp. enters partnering agreements that support Remote Control Unit transponder programs

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., 2 Nov. 2007. Orbit International Corp.'s Electronics Group received new prototype awards from two leading prime defense and aerospace contractors for Remote Control Unit program opportunities. Both awards include significant multi-year follow on potential.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., 2 Nov. 2007.Orbit International Corp.'s Electronics Group received new prototype awards from two leading prime defense and aerospace contractors for Remote Control Unit program opportunities. Both awards include significant multi-year follow on potential.

Both prototype awards include Strategic Partnering Agreements and provide the customer with RCU prices in exchange for sole source commitments which could lead to significant multi-year production and retrofit orders for Orbit through 2015.

Dennis Sunshine, president and CEO of Orbit International states, "Now that we have a qualified, state-of-the-art, mission-proven RCU, prime contractors may purchase these units with confidence and with the ability to customize the unit by downloading software developed for unique requirements. We are looking to establish strategic alliances with additional prime contractors that dominate the defense electronics landscape for U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and U.S. Navy Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) program opportunities."

Orbit International Corp. is involved in the manufacture of customized electronic components and subsystems for military and nonmilitary government applications.
