SAN DIEGO, Calif., 24 June 2007. Cubic Corporation will continue to provide realistic pre-deployment training to U.S. troops after winning a competitive contract with a potential ceiling value of $468 million. Cubic, the incumbent mission support contractor for the U.S. Army's Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) at Fort Polk, La., received a new contract for one base year with nine renewable option years. The new contract is scheduled to begin in July 2007.

The current contract with JRTC, awarded in 2001, is valued at nearly $375 million. The new contract will increase support levels in the areas of Role Play, Battlefield Effects, Tactical Engagement Systems Support, and the Exercise Support Group, which provides support to rotational training units in the areas of transportation, sustainment supplies, live fire support, and air-delivered resupply.
