Northrop Grumman awards contracts to LaBarge for military aircraft defense system

ST. LOUIS, 24 May 2007. LaBarge Inc. has received contracts valued at $2 million from Northrop Grumman Corp. to continue to produce electronic equipment for the AN/AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS directional infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) system.

ST. LOUIS, 24 May 2007.LaBarge Inc. has received contracts valued at $2 million from Northrop Grumman Corp. to continue to produce electronic equipment for the AN/AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS directional infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) system.

The AN/AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS system is the only DIRCM system in production that is designed to protect military aircraft from modern infrared-guided missiles.

AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS is a modular system comprised of a family of proven components that can be mixed and matched (based on specific platform, mission, and budget requirements) to protect a wide range of large and small aircraft, both rotary and fixed wing.

Production at LaBarge's Tulsa, Okla., facility is expected to begin in September 2007 and continue through March 2008.
