U.S. Department of Navy to improve information sharing through CRADA with Tower Software, Booz Allen Hamilton

RESTON, Va., 24 May 2007. The Department of the Navy has selected Tower Software, along with Booz Allen Hamilton, to assist in the evolution and wide-spread deployment of the Navy's correspondence management system (CMS). Under the cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA), the two parties will assist in the evolution of the existing Navy CMS to develop a Navy and Department of Defense (DOD) enterprise-wide solution.

RESTON, Va., 24 May 2007.The Department of the Navy has selected Tower Software, along with Booz Allen Hamilton, to assist in the evolution and wide-spread deployment of the Navy's correspondence management system (CMS).

Under the cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA), the two parties will assist in the evolution of the existing Navy CMS to develop a Navy and Department of Defense (DOD) enterprise-wide solution.

The existing Navy CMS will be upgraded to improve integration with Tower Software's enterprise content management software, Trim Context. The Navy CMS will also be modified to meet the tasker/suspense management needs of other DOD agencies.

Tower Software, along with Booz Allen, will assist the Navy in beta testing the CMS upgrades, participate in a cross-agency working group, and facilitate agency information sharing and best practices.
