Deborah Nielsen
Ms. Nielsen joined Tektronix in May 2017 as their strategic lead for their new Military & Government focused sector, where she is responsible for identifying current capabilities and leading new technology development for military-specific applications, across Tektronix, and other Fortive business units. Ms. Nielsen has a background in Physics and RF engineering, and has over 15 years of experience providing system prototype design and evaluation and program management leadership across multi-phase life cycles, from system architecture/design through platform integration/verification. Ms. Nielsen provides engineering expertise in real-time spectrum operations and electromagnetic interference and compatibility (EMI/EMC) for deployed systems and sensors. Currently, her research areas of interest include RF Photonics for Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW) and software-definable, reconfigurable architectures, which incorporate algorithms for autonomous system operation and machine learning to enhance mission objectives.
