F-35 training jets funding approved by Norway

Members of the Norwegian parliament gave approval for funding of four F-35 Lightning II training jets from Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] during the Paris Air Show this week.These F35s will bridge the gap between Norway's older F-16s, which are phased out by 2023. The jets will be delivered to a U.S.-based international training center in 2016. The F-35 is developed and funded by nine partner countries, including Norway. Norway plans to acquire 48 F-35s, and the first jets would be delivered to Norway in 2016.
