HORSHAM, England – Electronics distributor FC Lane Electronics in Horsham, England, is introducing the M-series high-power connectors from LEMO Connectors in Ecublens, Switzerland for defense, aerospace, automotive, robotics, and motor sports.

These ratchet-coupling connectors have been developed to meet the growing need for high power distribution to electronic devices, electric vehicles, and any systems with electrical motors, batteries, or inverters where high torque may be required for short or long periods.

The power connector is based on the existing rugged M series and provides high quality and reliable connectivity for harsh environments where mission-critical solutions are required and lightweight compact dimensions and reliability are expected.

These connectors offer high reliability; low contact resistance to limit heat generation; low mating forces; mating cycle durability of more than 3000 cycles; surge protection; and protective cap for safety.

The LEMO M series high-power connector can accommodate conductors from 10 to 50 square centimeters in unipole and multipole configurations for single- and three-phase systems.

These connectors handle maximum currents from 140 to 430 amps; operate in temperatures from -55 to 200 degrees Celsius; are sealed to IP68 mated; 360-degree EMC shielding; high shock and vibration resistance; are oil and fuel resistant; offer alternative brass housing material for 1,000 hours salt fog resistance; are tested to MIL-STD-810F; and offer a threaded option for a MIL-DTL-38999M backshell.
