Packages provide wideband performance, copper composite bases for thermal dissipation, and are sealed with cup-shaped liquid crystal polymer lids.

SANTEE, Calif. – StratEdge Corp.in Santee, Calif., is extending the performance range for the leaded power amplifier (LPA) family of packages test and measurement, as well as for very small aperture terminal (VSAT), point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint communications.

The LPA family operating range has been extended from DC to 23 GHz to 28 GHz. The LPA series ceramic packages were designed to provide good electrical transition performance for die in the DC to 23 GHz range; Ku-band frequencies for VSAT are the most popular application.

The packages provide wideband electrical performance and incorporate copper composite bases for enhanced thermal dissipation. They are sealed with cup-shaped liquid crystal polymer lids with B-stage epoxy preforms that are provided with the lids.

The new design for test and communications also will be available on the leaded laminate (LL) series of packages for very high-power gallium nitride (GaN) devices. For more information, contact StratEdge online at www.stratedge.com.
