Engineers at Vicor Corp. of Andover, Mass., are offering a new micro-size 150-watt DC-DC converter module in a package measuring 2.28 by 1.45 by 0.5 inches - a substantial reduction in the size of previous devices in the same class - that accepts a nominal input voltage of 48 volts DC and provides 12 volts output with 86 percent efficiency. The converter is designed for high performance in a small package, and has an input range of 36 to 75 volts, an output programmable from 1.25 to 13.2 volts,

Engineers at Vicor Corp. of Andover, Mass., are offering a new micro-size 150-watt DC-DC converter module in a package measuring 2.28 by 1.45 by 0.5 inches - a substantial reduction in the size of previous devices in the same class - that accepts a nominal input voltage of 48 volts DC and provides 12 volts output with 86 percent efficiency. The converter is designed for high performance in a small package, and has an input range of 36 to 75 volts, an output programmable from 1.25 to 13.2 volts, and a power density of 90 watts per cubic inch.
