LE HAILLAN, France, 10 Jan. 2013. Gaia Converter in Le Haillan, France, is introducing the HGMM 150-Watt half-brick AC-DC front-end power supply for avionics applications.
The HGMM 150-Watt half-brick power electronics device is part of Gaia's HGMM series, which includes 35-, 150- and 350-Watt PFC modules, which comply with DO-160E, ABD100, AMD-24, or MIL-STD-704F.
The three modules are available for 115 volts AC single phase and 360-800 Hz wide frequency range with efficiencies as high as 93 percent. Devices in 47-440 Hz and universal 85-265 volts AC / 45-65 Hz also are available.
The HGMM 35W has 1500 volts isolation and 2 independent 17-volt outputs for compact low-power designs in a standard 2-by-3-inch package. Gaia Converter has a U.S. office in Morristown, N.J.
The HGMM series 150W and 350W are non isolated half bricks 375 volts output to be paired with other isolated DC-DC modules such as the Gaia Converter High Voltage series (MGDS 75, 150 or 175 Watts).
Additional features include active inrush current limitation, output over load protection, short circuit protection, and inhibit function. The 150 and 350 models also provide a drive signal to control additional DC-DC modules, and a 7.5-volt DC reference.
