SAN DIEGO, 17 July 2008. Lambda in San Diego is introducing the 1000-Watt single-output control power electronics called the SWS1000L for applications that must operate in hot and cold outdoor temperatures.

SAN DIEGO, 17 July 2008.Lambda in San Diego is introducing a medically approved 1000-Watt single-output AC-DC power supply called the SWS1000L for automated pharmaceutical dispensers, blood analyzers, and gene/DNA analysis equipment.

The power supply offers 5-, 12-, or 24-volt output and 4 kilovolt AC input to output isolation and low leakage current while retaining Class B conducted and radiated EMI performance.

These 2.4-inch power supplies operate from -20 to 74 degrees Celsius, and offer low-temperature start-up capability with a 100 percent load to -40 C making them appropriate for systems that experience extremes of temperature such as outdoor-mounted equipment including LED displays/signage, automated toll booths, and traffic controls.

In addition, these power supplies feature a temperature-controlled fan, input range from 85 to 265 volts AC, output voltage adjustment range of as much as +/-20 percent to accommodate non-standard system voltages, and remote operation.
