FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., 28 Feb. 2008. The U.S. Army Bradley Fighting Vehicle operates with ITT's new Multi-Mode power converter, ITT officials said during the AUSA Winter Symposium at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The ITT device is a ruggedized, light weight unit that provides operators with a convenient way to obtain usable electrical power (12VDC, 110VAC) from any vehicle to operate items such as spot lights, laptop computers, cell phones, and small power tools.

For vehicles with limited space ITT also has a remote outlet model of the Multi-Mode. This model enables the outlet connections to be remotely mounted to any convenient location within the vehicle. The power conversion portion of the unit can be mounted anywhere else on the vehicle where space is available. The two portions are connected via easy connect/disconnect cables.

The Multi-Mode weighs less than 10 pounds and is cooled with natural convection – no fans or filters.
