MANSFIELD, Mass., 5 March 2008. Murata Power Solutions in Mansfield, Mass., is introducing the NTF series 1 Watt surface mount isolated DC-DC converters that are integrated, IC-style true surface mount packages. The wide input range devices are for use in military battery powered products.

Comprising nine models with efficiency levels as high as 70 percent for military batteries, the NTF series military power supplies are available with a choice of three wide range nominal inputs 5 volts, 12 volts, and 24 volts. Tightly regulated output voltages of 5, 12 or 15 volts are offered. All devices provide 1 kilovolt DC isolation and include a voltage trim feature.

The NTF series employs leadframe technology and transfer moulding techniques. Co-planarity of the lead positions is based on IEC 191-6:1990 and package materials are UL 94V-0 rated. Overall dimensions of 0.7 by 0.5 by 0.228 inches give the NTF series a power density of 0.7 Watts per cubic centimeter.

Devices in the RoHS compliant series have an operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and have a mean time to failure (MTTF) of as much time as 1.4 million hours. for more information contact Murata Power online at www.murata-ps.com.
