EL SEGUNDO, Calif., 1 Nov. 2009.Power management specialist International Rectifier (IR) in El Segundo, Calif., is introducing the AUIPS2051L and AUIPS2052G 75-volt low-side intelligent power switches (IPS) for 24-volt harsh-environment automotive environments including truck junction box applications.
The AUIPS205x family is designed using IR's 75-volt technology, suiting them to 24-volt automotive and other demanding environment loads such as solenoids or as electromechanical relay replacements.
The devices are qualified according to AEC-Q100 standards, have an environmentally friendly, lead-free and RoHS compliant bill of materials, and are part of IR's automotive quality initiative targeting zero defects.
The AUIPS2051L and AUIPS2052G have a 70-volt active clamp and protection has that shut down in the event of over-temperature or over-current conditions and restart when the input is turned off and turned on again.
The AUIPS2052G is a dual channel device while the AUIPS2051L is one channel device. The turn-on and turn-off time are optimized to minimize noise in EMI sensitive automotive applications. Both devices also provide ESD protection and low current and logic level input.
