Electrovaya batteries power autonomous underwater vehicles

TORONTO, Ontario, 4 Oct. 2007. Electrovaya has received an initial order from a large AUV manufacturing company for its batteries, totaling approximately $0.5 million. Electrovaya is also participating in the Oceans 2007 Exposition in Vancouver ending today. The conference includes a large exposition on AUVs.

TORONTO, Ontario, 4 Oct. 2007. Electrovaya has received an initial order from a large autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) manufacturing company for its batteries, totaling approximately $0.5 million.

Dr. Sankar Das Gupta, CEO of Electrovaya, says: "The manufacturer has been testing Electrovaya's Lithium Ion SuperPolymer cells in AUVs for more than two years, and has subjected them to full depth pressure during operation."

Electrovaya is also participating in the Oceans 2007 Exposition in Vancouver ending today. The Conference includes a large exposition on AUVs.
