AC-DC power supplies for robotics, semiconductor manufacturing, and test equipment introduced by TDK
SAN DIEGO – TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. in San Diego is introducing several option configurations for the TDK-Lambda brand ZWS-C series of 10-, 15-, 30-, and 50-Watt industrial AC-DC power supplies for factory automation, robotics, semiconductor manufacturing, and test and measurement equipment.
Initially launched in an open-frame configuration, four additional options are available in the series: a metal L-bracket with or without a cover, pins for circuit mounting, and two-sided board coating for all voltage and power levels.
These options can provide additional operator protection, lower the cost of wiring harnesses, or reduce the impact of dust and contamination in harsh environments.
15-year capacitor lifetimes
With electrolytic capacitor lifetimes of as long as 15 years, the ZWS-C models are available with 5-, 12-, 15-, 24-, and 48-volt outputs. The ZWS10C and ZWS15C models measure 63.5 by 45.7 by 22.1 millimeters, the ZWS30C 76.2 by 50.8 by 24.2 millimeters, and the ZWS50C 76.2 by 50.8 by 26.7 millimeters.
The operating temperature with convection cooling and standard mounting ranges from -10 to 70 degrees Celsius, derating linearly to 50 percent load between 50 to 70 C.
The power supplies have a 3-kilovolt AC input to output, 2-kilovolt AC input to ground, and 750-volt AC output to ground isolation. The models meet EN55011/EN55032-B conducted and radiated EMI in either a Class I or double-insulated Class II construction, without the need for external filtering or shielding.
All models are certified to the IEC/UL/CSA/EN62368-1 for AV, information and communication equipment standards and EN60335-1 for household electrical equipment.
IEC/EN61558-1, IEC/EN61558-2-16 certifications have been obtained, simplifying system integration. The ZWS-C series also complies with IEC 61000-3-2 (harmonics), IEC 61000-4 (immunity) and carries the CE and UKCA marks for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS directives. The warranty for the series is five years.
