GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Radio Design Group Inc. in Grants Pass, Ore., is introducing a wideband VHF circularly polarized antenna for use in difficult conditions for radio propagation.

It occupies a footprint of 18 by 18 by 4 inches, but performs more effectively than arrays twice its size, company officials say.

A true circularly polarized RF antenna, it covers a bandwidth of 174 to 216 MHz with a standing wave ratio (SWR) of 2:1 or better. It provides coverage in high-reflectivity situations, such as concrete buildings, and reduces dropouts in areas of marginal coverage.

The unit is housed in a rugged radome with a heavy aluminum backing, and is designed for indoor or outdoor use. The standard unit is rated for 10 Watts with a gain of 3 dB (circular) over a 100-degree beamwidth.

Higher power and alternate frequency ranges are available. For more information contact Radio Design Group online at https://radiodesigngroup.com.
