NIJMEGEN, The Netherlands – RF and microwave power specialist Ampleon in Nigmegen, The Netherlands, is introducing the 32-volt BLP15M9Sxxx and the 50-volt BLP15H9Sxxx wideband amplifier devices for radar, industrial heating systems, broadcast, particle accelerators, and plasma generators.

The BLP15M9Sxxx and BLP15H9Sxxx families are based on the company's 9th generation LDMOS and high-voltage LDMOS technologies and support frequencies to 2 GHz. They are capable of continuous wave (CW) and pulsed signal operation.

The BLP15MSxxx wideband amplifier family comprises dedicated devices offering 100 Watts, 70 Watts, and 30 Watts. The BLP15H9Sxxx family supports devices delivering 100 Watts, 30 Watts. and 10 Watts. The BLP15M9Sxxx devices will deliver efficiencies of around 75 percent and with the BLP15H9Sxxx devices typically attaining 65 percent.

Ampleon's BLP15M9Sxxx and BLP15H9Sxxx LDMOS amplifiers for RF and microwave applications come in compact SOT1482-1 (straight lead) and SOT1483-1 (gull wing) format packages. Their robust construction ensures ongoing reliability. Use of plastic packaging helps maintain thermal performance, while also keeping unit costs down. Dual-side electro-static discharge (ESD) protection is incorporated into each device.
