Harris ups earnings guidance based on increased radio orders

MELBOURNE, Fla., 10 June 2005. Harris Corp. in Melbourne, Fla., raised its fiscal year 2006 earnings per share guidance based on higher than expected orders for its Falcon II tactical radios.

MELBOURNE, Fla., 10 June 2005. Harris Corp. in Melbourne, Fla., raised its fiscal year 2006 earnings per share guidance based on higher than expected orders for its Falcon II tactical radios.

The Falcon II, used by the U.S. armed forces and by allied military and peacekeeping forces in international markets, comes from the Harris RF Communications Division in Rochester, N.Y.

Harris officials say they see earnings of $1.73 to $1.78 per share versus previous guidance of $1.63 to $1.68 and the consensus of $1.66.
