DAYTON, Ohio, 24 Oct. 2005. MTC Technologies, Inc. has won a $4.8 million potential value FAST task order for modifications, system integrations/enhancements, and testing associated with the AN/AAQ-36 Infrared Detection Set (IDS) system on HC-130(H)N and HC-130N/P aircraft.
The contract was awarded by the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, 330th Air Sustainment Wing, Special Operations Forces Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Group, at Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
Under the two-year task order, MTC will upgrade the Video Distribution Converter (VDC) and complete Video Display Unit (VDU) integration on both aircraft, and complete the integration of the AN/APN-241 Low Power Color Radar (LPCR) display control panel on the HC-130N/P aircraft. The VDC will be developed and produced by MTC's wholly owned subsidiary, Manufacturing Technology, Inc. (MTI).
In addition, MTC will update applicable technical data and drawings for HC-130N/P aircraft, support system validation testing, and develop Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD). All of the work will be managed by MTC's Air Forces Group, System Support Division, Warner Robins Operations, based in Georgia.
