TETERBORO, N.J. 1 July 2005. U.S. Air Force leaders are asking Honeywell International in Teterboro, N.J., to upgrade antenna and radar test equipment for the F-15 jet fighter aircraft.

Honeywell is working under terms of a $7.2 million contract awarded June 30 from the Air Force 542nd Combat Sustainment Wing at Robins Air Force Base, Ga. The contract number is FA8517-05-G-0001-0004.

Company officials are providing engineering services in support of the F-15 Avionics Intermediate Shop Antenna Test Station and Enhancement Aircraft Radar Test Station, otherwise known as EARTS.

Honeywell will develop form, fit, and function replacements for obsolete or otherwise unsupportable items in the tester, and automate an EARTS test procedure to improve the tester's performance at depot and field locations.

Work will be finished by this December. For more information contact Honeywell online at www.honeywell.com.
