Lockheed Martin picks radar to test JSF

ARLINGTON, Va., 23 May 2005. System Planning Corp. (SPC) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. to supply an SPC MkVe Radar Cross Section (RCS) Radar Imaging System for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.

ARLINGTON, Va., 23 May 2005. System Planning Corp. (SPC) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. to supply an SPC MkVe Radar Cross Section (RCS) Radar Imaging System for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.

Lockheed Martin, prime contractor for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program, will use the SPC MkVe System to provide quality assurance data pertaining to the radar signature of the aircraft.

The testing will occur at Lockheed Martin's production facility in Fort Worth, Texas while the aircraft are in the manufacturing environment. The data will be used to assure the aircraft meet JSF signature requirements.
