Air Force to brief industry March 11 and 12 on contract opportunities in weapons programs

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. 4 Oct. 2013. U.S. Air Force weapons experts will brief industry on future Air Force armament acquisition plans during the 2014 Armament Industry Days conference from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 11 and 12 March 2014 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. 4 Oct. 2013. U.S. Air Force weapons experts will brief industry on future Air Force armament acquisition plans during the 2014 Armament Industry Days conference from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 11 and 12 March 2014 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

Briefings will be on current threats, technologies, and solutions for Air Force weapons programs. Representatives for weapons master plans, science and technology, threats, planning, and programs will discuss their respective efforts and point out industry opportunities. Contractors also can to sign up for one-hour one-on-one meetings with government representatives on 13 March.

Briefings will cover core function master plans; threat environments; air superiority development planning activities and opportunities; global precision attack development planning activities and opportunities; and science and technology activities and opportunities.

Speakers include Brig. Gen. Scott Jansson, the Air Force program executive officer for weapons, as well as warfighting planners, development project leads, lead scientists and engineers, and weapons intelligence analysts.

Briefings will be at the Eglin Air Force Base Enlisted Hall (formerly Base Theater). One-on-One appointments will be available on 13 March 2013 in building 349, Conference Room 305. All briefings will be at the secret security level, and participants must have appropriate clearances.
