Posted by Courtney E. Howard Edison, N.J., 1 Aug. 2011. Teseq Inc., a provider of instrumentation and systems for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission and immunity testing, introduces its new DO-160 RF emissions and immunity test module for use in its Compliance 5 EMCtest software. The new software module enables users to configure their hardware and select the required test quickly, using preloaded, standard hardware configurations and limit lines, as well as a pre-configured menu system. Users can select such settings as standards, test levels, test methods, modulation settings, leveling methods, limit lines, peak analysis, and failure analysis. Users are also able to customize the results graph and table, such as to include company logo, text, test details, and images. Dedicated help menus and application manuals are also available for DO-160 applications. The control feature enables configuration and equipment details to be stored with results, whereas Teseq's Global Report function automatically places selected information from the test into a pre-existing template. The company’s new update supports versions E, F, and G of the DO-160 standard, including conducted and radiated immunity (Section 20) and emissions (Section 21). Compliance 5 is available in two versions: Compliance 5 RF Emissions and Compliance 5 RF Immunity. They can be used either together or independently.Other industry-specific packages are available to minimize set-up, while providing compliant, fast, efficient, and repeatable testing, explains a representative. Optional packages include military, reverberation chambers, commercial/consumer, and automotive.
