Harris Corp. wins $16 million U.S. Army order for Falcon III AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack tactical radios

MELBOURNE, Fla., 22 June 2011. Harris Corp. (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, won a $16 million order from the U.S. Army to deliver Falcon III AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radios. The AN/PRC-117G radios will support the Army’s transition to a networked digital battlefield. The software-defined, upgradeable platform for voice and data supports network-enabled missions, such as convoy tracking, mission operations planning, and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC).
