AWR offers enhances to its Microwave Office design environment EDA software

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., 12 June 2008. Applied Wave Research Inc. (AWR) in El Segundo, Calif., a provider of high-frequency design automation software, is introducing the Version 2008 of its Microwave Office design environment. The release includes more than 100 enhancements and changes to the user interface.

(AWR) in El Segundo, Calif., a provider of high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA), is introducing the Version 2008 of its Microwave Office design environment. The release includes more than 100 enhancements and changes to the user interface.

The user interface has project, elements, layout tabs, and the status window, which are dockable and floatable. The project software tool also includes enhancements to its open environment, including an interface to the ICED IC design and verification engineering software tool.

Other changes include enhancements to the ACE automatic circuit extraction tool; optional AXIEM planar 3D EM analysis for upfront design optimization and post-layout verification; APLAC harmonic balance and optional time-domain simulators; support for parameterized subcircuit layouts; and plotting capabilities.
