BRIDGEWATER, Mass., 29 April 2014. Beta Dyne Inc. announces the low-output-noise EBL-30 DC-DC converters for signal-sensitive applications such as data acquisition and control systems, test and measurement, and medical instruments.

Available in 2:1 input ranges of 9-to-8 volts, 18-to-36 volts, and 36-to-72 volts, the EBL30 series offers single outputs of 2.5 volts, 3.3 volts, 5 volts, 12 volts, 15 volts, and 18 volts at efficiencies to 90 percent.

The power electronics devices are housed in a 1-by-2-inch industry package. Output synchronous rectification and low dropout linear regulation results in +/-0.05 percent load regulation and output ripple and noise of under 40m volts p-p. Input-output isolation is 1500 volts DC.

Metal case construction provides six-sided shielding to limit spurious noise effects on adjacent systems. The EBL30 series is rated for full-load performance over the ambient temperature range of -40 to 60 degrees Celsius and extended operation from -55 to 85 C is available on request.
