LANCASTER, Pa., 23 Oct. 2009. Herley Industries Inc.'s Herley-CTI subsidiary in Whippany, N.J., has won an award valued at approximately $6.5 million from a major U.S. prime contractor to manufacture an integrated microwave assembly (IMA) and an oscillator for a U.S. Navy electronic attack aircraft.

"We have recently received several significant production orders for this customer to support this aircraft and its critical mission," Richard F. Poirier, Herley Industries' CEO and president, says. "This award takes advantage of the heritage of Herley-CTI in manufacturing state-of-the-art frequency synthesis and frequency conversion products.

"Herley-CTI has recently expanded its manufacturing and test facilities in support of these products as this program has transitioned into full rate production," says Poirier. "We expect Herley-CTI to continue to be a valued partner on this program for years to come and look forward to additional annual awards over the next five years."
