CHELMSFORD, Mass., 14 Nov. 2010. Hittite Microwave Corp. in Chelmsford, Mass., is introducing four surface-mount wideband fixed-value attenuators for applications that operate at frequencies as high as 25 GHz, such as military subsystems, sensors, fiber optics, scientific instruments, and microwave radio. The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E are housed in 2-by-2-millimeter SMT plastic packages, operate in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, and handle as much as 25 dBm of input power.

The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E RF and microwave devices are housed in 2-by-2-millimeter SMT plastic packages, operate in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, and handle as much as 25 dBm of input power. These wideband attenuator pads can be used for terminating unused switch ports, adjusting mixer LO drive levels, and padding reactive loads in military, test equipment, and other wideband subsystem applications.

The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E are wideband fixed value 50-Ohm matched attenuators that offer relative attenuation levels of 2, 3, 4, and 6 dB respectively. These passive attenuator pads exhibit flat attenuation and solid return losses.

The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E also are available in chip form as the HMC652, HMC653, HMC654, and HMC655 which are rated to 50 GHz. These wideband passive attenuator pads complement Hittite's broad line of fixed value attenuators which are available in 2-by-2-millimeter SMT packaging and as bare chips.
