LOMBARD, Ill. – Cinch Connectivity Solutions, a Bel group company in Lombard, Ill., is introducing Dura-Con high-temperature Micro-D rectangular connectors rugged enough for down-hole sensory instrumentation that monitors telemetry, pressure, temperature and vibration in oil and gas applications.

The Dura-Con Micro-D high-temperature connectors enable designers of compact electro-mechanical equipment to operate in extremely high vibration conditions at elevated temperatures of 175 degrees Celsius. This results in extended mean times between failures (MTBF) in harsh environments.

The dielectric insulation material in the Dura-Con Micro-D High Temperature connectors is high-temperature liquid crystal polymer (LCP), which has a much higher melting and glass transition point than materials used in standard offerings.

This increases the long term operating temperature from a standard 125 to 175 C product Also, the connector’s insulator is designed to prevent shorts in high-vibration conditions.
