    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Smiths Interconnect Americas Inc. in Kansas City, Mo., is introducing the EZiCoax single-piece compression mount 50-ohm RF coaxial contact for high-value aerospace and defense coaxial connector RF and microwave applications like satellite communications (SATCOM) and radar systems.

    The EZiCoax is for board-to-board signal transmissions with data frequency to 40 GHz. EZiCoax is a solderless compression-mount connector for high-frequency data signalling.

    The EZiCoax coaxial contact requires no solder on the circuit boards for connection. Each contact needs less than 5 ounces of compression force, and no extraction force is necessary for a spring-loaded connector. EZiCoax requires little assembly work; it is sufficient to align it to the circuit board and compress.
