Tampa Microwave in Tampa, Fla., is offering the portable quad-band (C, X, Ku, and Ka) loop test translator, a field communications testing tool that provides a test translator and block downconverter in one transportable package. This device accepts transmissions on several different bands and translates the full receive bands. The bands and attenuation are selectable from the front panel. The device delivers translations with a minimum of amplitude and delay distortions. It is housed in a rugged, weather-resistant portable case for easy moving and storage. The system allows satellites to be “short circuited” so the terminal output can feed to downlink monitoring equipment. For more information contact Tampa Microwave online at www.tampamicrowave.com.
