Avionics test system from DDC turns a USB 2.0 port into MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, or ARINC 717 test interface

BOHEMIA, N.Y., 2 May 2011. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing an avionics test system that connects to a standard USB 2.0 port to help support avionics designers in testing, simulation, and analysis. The BU-67211UX combines as many as two dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels with as many as eight user programmable receive-or-transmit ARINC 429 channels, and as many as two user programmable receive-or-transmit ARINC 717 channels.

(DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing an avionics test system that connects to a standard USB 2.0 port to help support avionics designers in testing, simulation, and analysis. The BU-67211UX combines as many as two dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels with as many as eight user programmable receive-or-transmit ARINC 429 channels, and as many as two user programmable receive-or-transmit ARINC 717 channels.The BU-67211UX avionics test instrument also supports IRIG-B, CANbus, Serial I/O, and Discrete I/O interfaces. The test and measurement device is for product development, systems integration labs, production test labs, and simulators.The 1553 channels offer concurrent BC + Multi-RT + MT, real-time intermessage event and data modification, error injection, and error sampling. Each ARINC 429 channel can be programmed to be either a transmitter or receiver.
