L-com introduces bulkhead super-speed USB 3.0 cable assemblies for hard-to-reach ports

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 9 Jan. 2012. L-com Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing USB 3.0 cable assemblies with a type A female bulkhead connector on one end for panels or chassis, and for access to hard-to-reach or secured USB 3.0 ports. The USB 3.0 cable assemblies use a multi-layered printed circuit board in the bulkhead that maintains USB 3.0 speed and performance. The ECF504-style bulkhead mounts to a wide variety of panel thickness via an electrically grounded flange.

The USB 3.0 cable assemblies use a multi-layered printed circuit board in the bulkhead that maintains USB 3.0 interconnect technology speed and performance. The ECF504-style bulkhead mounts to a wide variety of panel thickness via an electrically grounded flange. USB 3.0 is as much as 10 times faster than USB 2.0, with speeds reaching 4.8 gigabits per second, company officials say.
