RICHLAND, Wash., 3 Dec. 2009. Mohr and Associates, a supplier of electronic test and measurement instrumentation, won a contract award from the U.S. Navy to supply high-resolution metallic Time-Domain Reflectometer (TDR) cable testers with companion TDR waveform analysis software. The $7.42 million contract has a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 500 units over a five-year period.

The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP), the primary equipment purchasing agent for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), has selected the CT100 TDR and bundled CT Viewer software for its General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE) program. The CT100 will be used to support a variety of Navy shipboard, submarine, shore, and Marine Corps applications, replacing the functionality of the discontinued Tektronix 1502C high-resolution TDR.

"The CT100 combines exceptional TDR performance and rugged portability, making it an ideal replacement for the 1502C TDR. This is a very useful tool for maintenance of modern microwave/RF and digital cable systems," says Charles Mohr, principal engineer.
