VMETRO's German subsidiary to deliver solid-state data recorders for Euro Hawk UAV

MUNICH, Germany, 2 Oct. 2007. VSYSTEMS Electronic GmbH in Munich, Germany, won a contract from EADS Deutschland GmbH in Munich, Germany, to deliver integrated real-time solid-state data recorder systems for Euro Hawk long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

MUNICH, Germany, 2 Oct. 2007.VSYSTEMS Electronic GmbH in Munich, Germany, won a contract from EADS Deutschland GmbH in Munich, Germany, to deliver integrated real-time solid-state data recorder systems for Euro Hawk long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

VSYSTEMS is a subsidiary a subsidiary of VMETRO asa in Stockholm, Sweden, and the devices VSYSTEMS will provide to EADS Deutschland are based on VMETRO's product family. The contract is worth more than 2 million Euros, VSYSTEMS officials say.

"We selected VMETRO for this program as we are convinced that they will be able to deliver such a multi-channel recorder and playback system customized to our needs and that the system will be compliant with our requirements for this high altitude and space constraint application," says Dietmar Blaser, chief engineer for the program at EADS.
