Lane Electronics offers compact connectors for UAV applications

Connectors are suitable for applications in uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other systems where size, weight, and environmental performance are important considerations.

YORBA LINDA, Calif. - Lane Electronics now offers four compact connector families from Weald Electronics for applications in uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other systems where size, weight, and environmental performance matter.

The LM200 Series, manufactured to BS9525 F0033, is a 2-millimeter-pitch connector system available in single- and dual-row configurations for rigid PCB, flex-circuit, and cable-mounted applications. The two-part connectors use crimp contacts, UL94 V-0 high-temperature insulators, and aerospace-grade gold-plated contacts. The series operates from -55 to +125 degrees Celsius and incorporates positive spring latching.

The M300 Series is a three-row, 2-millimeter-pitch connector designed to provide higher contact density within a compact footprint. The connectors support simultaneous current ratings of up to 3 amps per contact and are available with optional jackscrew locking for applications requiring additional mechanical retention or restricted connector access.

For configurable interconnect requirements, the D2 Series is a modular rectangular connector system based on stackable double-contact modules. The system is available with pin, socket, or mixed contact configurations for polarization and uses a single M2 fixing for assembly. Gold-plated solder-bucket contacts are rated for up to 5 amps per contact, with an operating temperature range of -40 to +125 degrees Celsius.

The SMC Series is an ultra-miniature circular connector with an overall diameter of 8.45 millimeters. The three-way connector is available for panel-mount and cable-to-cable applications and incorporates polarized snap-lock mating. Gold-plated solder-bucket contacts are rated for 3 amps continuous, and protective cable hoods are available for cable-mounted configurations.
