TAIPEI, Taiwan, 12 Jan. 2012. ADLINK Technology Inc. in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the EOS-1200 power over Ethernet (PoE) embedded vision system for multi-camera imaging applications like factory automation and food and packaging inspection. The EOS-1200 implements the 2nd generation Intel Core i7 quad core processor, providing four independent gigabit PoE ports with data transfer rates as fast as 4 gigabits per second.

The EOS-1200 supports IEEE 1588 precise time protocol, enabling synchronization with multi-camera acquisition, providing a software trigger-mode that empowers multi-camera synchronized captures.

Its application programming interface enables users to program power status, especially when cameras are idle, to boost energy efficiency. The EOS-1200 also provides auto-detection to ensure compatibility with PoE and conventional non-PoE devices, ADLINK officials say.

I/O capability includes four serial ports, two USB 3.0 ports, 32 PNP/NPN isolated digital I/Os, and dual storage consisting of two SATA interface, and one CFAST slot. Also included is an internal USB port, and a 1-kilobit programmable EEPROM. For more information contact ADLINK online at www.adlinktech.com.
