WOBURN, Mass. – Concurrent Technologies Inc. in Woburn, Mass., is introducing the XM 620/x01 Switch Mezzanine Card (XMC) for high-performance military and aerospace command and controlembedded computing applications that need mission-sufficient storage capacity.

The XMC storage product is designed to provide high sustained read/write performance when mated to the company's XMC host products including processor, switch, and carrier boards.

It has two M.2 sites, each of which supports Type 2242, 2260, and 2280 M.2 storage devices. Each M.2 device has a x4 PCI Express (M-key) connection to the host card to optimize performance dependent on the devices fitted.

Concurrent Technologies offers XM 620/x01 fitted with as many as two M.2 devices that are suitable for long-life applications and have a typical capacity of 256 or 512 gigabytes with sustained read/write rates of 1571/578 megabytes per second respectively.

When fitted with high-capacity consumer-grade M.2 devices and used in a striped RAID configuration, Concurrent Technologies has measured performance as fast as 6997/4128 megabytes per second read/write rates.

The device should match the performance of today's consumer grade devices and XM 620/x01 will then be able to support as many as 2 terabytes of high-performance direct attached storage for long-life cycle deployments.

The XM 620/x01 provides one-slot solid-state storage when mated to a host processor card, thereby minimizing the solution size, weight and power (SWaP) envelope within a rugged environment.
