Avionica achieves ISO 9001:2000, AS9100 certification

MIAMI, 3 Sept. 2008. – Avionica announced its Quality Management System was assessed and approved by National Quality Assurance (NQA) against the provisions of ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 Revision B.

MIAMI, 3 Sept. 2008. – Avionica announced its Quality Management System was assessed and approved by National Quality Assurance (NQA) against the provisions of ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 Revision B.

AS9100 is a standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. It was introduced to the society of Automotive Engineering in the Americas, and the European Association of Aerospace Industries in October, 1999 by Aerospace.

Avionica specializes in complete flight data management solutions comprising airborne avionics as well as ground support equipment. Their airborne products include satLINK, the airborne Iridium voice and messaging communications gateway, secureLINK, the airborne 802.11 wireless gatelink router, the miniQAR, the world's first miniature quick access flight data recorder.
