SELEX Sistemi Integrati signs contract for air traffic control systems in Kenya

KENYA, 6 Nov. 2008. SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company in Rome, Italy, signed a contract with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority to supply air traffic control radar systems.

KENYA, 6 Nov. 2008. SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company in Rome, Italy, signed a contract with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority to supply air traffic control radar systems.

Under the contract, worth approximately 25 million euro, the company will supply primary radar, secondary radar, an automated system for the management of land-based movements, and navigation aids within 15 months.

The new systems, which will be installed in the international airports of Nairobi and Mombasa and in the airports of Kisumu, Eldoret, Machacos, Poror, and Wajir, will enable the whole country's air space to be controlled.
